About Me
- Coach Stephens
- I am Coach Stephens, the head Boys' Basketball and Tennis teams coach at Hawkinsville High School. Our Basketball team made it to the final four in the state pIayoffs this year. I had been coaching at CCMS for 7 years. I also was an assistant football coach for five years. During my era we have been very competitive. In basketball we have won two conference championships and had one runner up. We have only had one losing season in seven years. In tennis we have won two conference championships and had three runner-ups. We have never had a losing season in tennis. In football we won one championship as well. My second to last season at CCMS the basketball team went 17-0. I really enjoy coaching kids and trying to make them better young men.
Favorite Coaching Moments
- Winning that first championship after losing the championship game the year before.
- Winning a second championship and going 17-0
- Tomas hitting a fade away shot to beat Staley at the buzzer.
- Jontavious catching a alley oop on the inbounds from Q.
- Javon catching the ball off the rim against Dooly, and bout tearing the goal down.
- There are so many-I will add new ones every week or so. This is a start though!

No wonder your teams are undefeated! They are phenomenal! I didn't think seventh-graders could set picks or screens, but these kids certainly can. They play like professionals--mature, focused, and patience.
